The 361,000 dollar teapot.

Part of an infographic by Megan Jett describing how, “The Bauhaus not only impacted design and architecture on an international level, but also revolutionised the way design schools conceptualise education as a means of imparting an integrated design approach where form follows function.”

It shows two teapots designed by Marianne Brandt (1893-1983) in 1924, the last one sold to a private museum for $361,000.00 at Sotheby’s, New York in 2007.
